Core Documents Required for All eVisa Types
The following documents are required for all Zambia eVisa applications, regardless of the selected eVisa type:
Passport Biopage Scan
- A clear scan of the applicant's passport biodata page must be uploaded.
- All personal details, including the MRZ code, must be readable, and all edges of the page must be visible.
- The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the applicant's arrival in Zambia.
Applicant Photo
- A recent digital photo of the applicant is required during the application.
- The photo must be free of glare, shadows, and filters.
- Make sure the applicant's face is clearly visible from the forehead to the chin.
Additional Documents for Specific eVisa Types
Shared Additional Documents for Transit, Tourist, Ordinary, and Student eVisa Types
In addition to the core documents required, applicants for these eVisa types must also submit the documents listed below:
Cover Letter from Applicant
- A signed cover letter from the applicant addressed to the Director General of Immigration of Zambia must be submitted.
- Clearly state the purpose of your visit (such as tourism, transit, an ordinary visit, or study).
- Include your full name, passport number, travel dates, intended length of stay, and who will cover your trip expenses.
Return / Onward Airline Ticket
- Provide a confirmed return or onward flight ticket showing your departure from Zambia within your allowed stay period.
- The ticket must show your full name as per your passport and complete flight details.
Extra Requirement for Zambia Ordinary eVisa Application
Applicants for the Zambia Ordinary eVisa must also submit one extra document, in addition to the core and additional requirements listed above.
Zambian Host’s National ID or Immigration Permit
- Submit a clear scan of your Zambian host’s valid passport, national registration card (NRC), or immigration permit (if the host is a foreign national).
- If a national ID card is submitted, upload clear scans of both the front and back sides.
Additional Requirements for Zambia Business eVisa
Along with the core documents required for all eVisa types, business eVisa applicants must also submit the following supporting documents:
Certificate of Incorporation
- Submit a clear copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the inviting/host company in Zambia.
- The certificate must show the company's registered name, registration number, and date of incorporation.
Cover Letter on Official Company Letterhead
- Submit a cover letter issued on the official letterhead of the inviting/host company in Zambia, addressed to the Director General of Immigration.
- The letter should state the purpose of the visit, the applicant's full name, passport number, travel dates, and the duration of the visit.
- It must include the company's contact details and be signed and stamped by an authorised company representative.
