How To Apply for Tourist Visa (KAZA)

Zambia Kaza Entry eVisa

Applying for the Tourist Visa (KAZA) is quick and can be done online through the Zambia eVisa application portal.

Step 1: Fill Out the Visa Application form: Select the Tourist Visa KAZA from the visa type drop-down menu, enter personal and passport details, and upload the required documents.

Step 2: Pay the Fee: Complete the visa fee payment using the available online payment options such as credit card, debit card, paypal or cryptocurrency.

Step 3: Track and Receive the Visa: Check registered email ID for regular status updates. After approval, the KAZA eVisa will be emailed to you. Print it and present it on arrival.

Note: Each traveller must have a separate approved KAZA eVisa. You can add multiple applicants during the same application process on the portal by using the “Add Applicant" option

Can I use the Tourist Visa (KAZA) if I am travelling for work or business?

No, the Tourist Visa (Kaza) is only for tourism. If you’re travelling for business, you’ll need to apply for the right visa.

Documents Required for the Tourist Visa (KAZA) Application

1. Passport Biopage Scan: Submit a clear scan of the passport biodata page with no cropped edges or glare.
2. Applicant Photo: Submit a recent, clear, unedited digital photo without shadows or reflections.
3. Cover Letter: Submit a signed letter addressed to the Director General of Immigration, explaining the purpose and details of the trip.
4. Return or Onward Ticket: Submit a confirmed flight ticket showing the traveller’s name and departure from Zambia.

Zambia Tourist Visa (KAZA) Fee and Processing Options

The cost of the Zambia Tourist Visa (Kaza) depends on two factors:

• Nationality: The cost varies by the applicant’s passport country.
• Processing option: The fee depends on the processing time applicant choose.
  • Standard Processing: Usually issues the eVisa within 10 - 15 Working Days.
  • Rush Processing: The eVisa is delivered within 7- 10 Working Days.
  • Super Rush Processing: Receive approval within5 - 7 Working Days.

Tourist Visa (KAZA) Validity and Duration

The Tourist Visa (KAZA) is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued. During this period, travellers can stay in Zambia and Zimbabwe for up to 30 days in total. 

Day trip to Botswana is also allowed. However, if you are planning to stay in Botswana overnight a separate entry permission is required. 

Important: The Tourist Visa (KAZA) cannot be extended, so plan the trip within the allowed stay.
